 Wendy is passionate about yoga.
Her passion has lead her around the globe where she
has studied with some of the world's most respected
yoga teachers. Wendy has been to Mysore India for a
total of 12 months study with Sri K Pattabhi Jois,
the father of Ashtanga yoga. Teaching since 1974,
she is an inspirational and well-respected
teacher/instructor in her own right. She has for
many years, operated a successful private yoga
studio in New Jersey as well as teaching in
numerous fitness, educational and corporate
settings. She is particularly interested in
Ashtanga Yoga and
continues to deepen her knowledge of Yoga, Sanskrit, Ayurveda wellness
and takes Master Yoga classes on a regular
basis.
Starting in 1973, Wendy worked for two years at
the Hippocrates Health Institute in Boston, under
the direction of Dr. Ann Wigmore and Victoras
Kulvinskas, modern founders of the Raw Food
Movement. Now along with Raw Food Leaders such as
David Wolfe and Gabriel Cousens M.D., Wendy
believes that a Raw Food Diet can bring immediate
transformational health benefits into peoples
lives.
A life long environmentalist and "nature girl",
Wendy has worked energetically to preserve and
protect the natural integrity of the planet and
inspires others to do the same through a simple,
deep green lifestyle.
Wendy received her Thai Massage certification in
Thailand with ITTA (international Thai Therapists
Association) in 2009.
Combining her interests of yoga/diet and nature,
Wendy cashed out of New Jersey in 2005 and found
her paradise on the northern coast of Honduras,
Central America and has created an eco yoga rawfood
retreat center called Casa Verde. Integrating
wellness philosophies learned around the world over
the last 30 years and believing in the healing
power of nature, she offers YOGA / RAW / JUNGLE / CHILL /
IMMERSIONS in a pristine, magnificent
environment.
